Preston Plastic Surgery Career Progression Course ( ST3)
Progression from Core training to Specialist training is a major
step for all trainees and they need to prepare well for this transition. This
one day course aims to prepare candidates for a specialist training post
in plastic surgery. It will provide all the candidates with an overview
of Plastic Surgery training in the United Kingdom and the selection process.
The candidates will move through the Clinical Scenario, Structured Interview,
OSCE and Portfolio stations and will be examined by experienced
Consultants. The simulation of the real interview will give the same
adrenaline rush, yet allow them to improve on any short comings based on the
feedback given.

Target Audience: Core trainees and Registrars and Trust doctors in non-training grades.

SO YOU WANT TO BE A HAND SURGEON...
A One day course, organised by the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, on the practice of Hand Surgery. This course is aimed primarily at the Core Surgery Trainee who has decided on a career in Surgery, but has yet to choose a specialty. It is, however,open to all, from Students to those in formal Plastic Surgery or Orthopaedic Training. The course will cover all levels of a career in Hand Surgery, from the early stages of training up to practice as a Consultant. Faculty has been selected rom all levels - Foundation doctor to Consultant Hand Surgeons.
